Moths are symbolic of transformation and metamorphosis, they signify the search for light in the darkness, heightened awareness and listening to your inner voice. Moth wisdom stands for the spirituality reached in later years. In many cultures white moths symbolize the souls of departed loved ones carrying unspoken messages of secret knowledge.
The cicada is a solar symbol often symbolizing rebirth or resurrection. They choose their moment to be reborn. Their emergence is a sign of the present and they have a symbiotic partnership with Mother Earth and a special kinship with trees, the wisdom keepers. They are also a sign of communication as they sing in unison for the benefit of the group, not the individual.
